E-LAND GALLERY
E-Land, which had entered China In 1996 during the period of its reform and opening, discovered artists who were trying to transform their life into the language of hope without ever giving up the way of art even under difficult circumstances at the time, and went on to become now great artists. E-Land supported them in organizing overseas exhibitions and collections, and continuing exchanges. This has become the matrix of the E-LAND GALLERY (衣恋画廊) project.

E-LAND GALLERY (衣恋画廊), which had started from a connection with fine artists in China, has been conducting a scholarship project for art college and graduate school graduates to foster young artists since 2009 to the present, with the belief that “A healthy artist creates a healthy society.” It has been developed into a project that discovers and supports creative and promising artists who dream of becoming fine artists.

Particularly, the scholarship project for graduates has played a pivotal role in allowing future greats who are graduates from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Arts, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to take the first step in society as full-time artists.
It has been 10 years since the inception of the scholarship project for graduates, and there have been 2,656 scholarship holders up to 2018. This will continue.
This project leads to the discovery and growth of promising artists, and thus contributes greatly to the time and society.

Through exhibition and collections, seminars, overseas exhibition program and regular exchanges of promising artists, E-Land enables them to share their ways of life and art, and support their road to creation both materially and spiritually. In the future, based on our projects to find and support new promising artists, E-Land will concentrate its capacity on publicizing

Socially critical realism which emerged vigorously since the 1980s in Chinese contemporary art and it has also been very well-accepted around the world. It has become a trademark of Chinese modern art that way.
Moving out of critical perspective of realism, young artists of E-land Gallery who were born in the 80s & 90s are embracing future-oriented artistic language heading toward the new world by introducing personal and relational elements in existing reality. The artists of E-land Gallery, who have been raised as graduate scholarship students for the last 10 years, are characterized by their sublimation of heterogeneous elements and profound ideologies into artistic language compared to the emotions felt by other artists of the contemporary era. Their efforts not only to raise questions in reality but also to seek out the future through the present by combining it with an ideal world have been completed as works of art. Thus, each and every work of art contains the most humane and inherent elements and existential efforts to resolve and reconcile with all the conflicts and discords arising in the course of the rapid modernization of the mechanized world.
Now, together with Basel, the works of the young artists of E-land Gallery in the theme of how to resolve contemporary conflicts and discord in reality will present all of us a new way with proactive artistic language.

E-Land Gallery has been contributing actively to the advancement of contemporary art for a long time. Particularly, in cultivating next generation young art talents in China, E-Land has established the E-Land scholarship in the 5 best art schools in China such as China Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and awarded scholarships to excellent graduates in the contemporary creative art area to encourage their pursuit and exploration of contemporary art.

The E-Land Cultural Division has constantly noted the growth of Chinese young artists, and developed, interacted with, supported and encouraged promising young artists who loved art and worked hard for creation. In order to create a platform where growing young artists can unfold their art world, the E-Land Cultural Division established E-Land Gallery, and has been helping young art majors with affection for art who have just started their full career to fulfill their dreams, without asking any payback. Through this project, E-Land fulfilled its social responsibility and gave society its love by sharing fruits of its hard work.

E-Land has been cultivating young artists and growing together with them for over 10 years. Artists have created works containing unique concepts of modernity and art language through personal experiences and perception of contemporary art. Today, I recommend young talented artists who have grown up with E-Land Gallery without reservation, but with a high expectation.
